Where can I order my Thanksgiving?
Where can you get your Thanksgiving prepared? We’ve listed many options to reduce holiday stress!
Do you love the all-day cook fest, or would you rather kick up your feet, watch football in your jammies and let everything slowly warm up in you oven at your leisure? I am in the latter category. Especially the turkey! I follow the directions, and it usually tastes amazing, but I am hovering over it like a helicopter parent most of the day, and in the end, I am feeling like I don’t truly enjoy the holiday. I am making a mess, serving a meal, cleaning up, and it doesn’t have that day-off feel.
SO…I have recently sprinkled in a little holiday ordering here and there. Not every year, but as a treat, or when we have a small group for the holidays, it seems like I should take the opportunity to order my Thanksgiving.
Where can YOU order Thanksgiving from?
LOCAL
Whether you want a whole turkey meal for 16+, or a meal for two, Whole Foods has got you! If you think it’s too late, it’s not! You can order it pretty quickly, select your pickup time, location and boom, Thanksgiving is mostly done. It comes cold, so you will have to reheat, but that truly is an easy way to Thanksgiving!
This small business based in Louisville, CO, has provided my family with tasty meals for over a year. When I know it’s a busy week, I’ll order a few meals for four (even though we have five), and there are usually leftovers to enjoy the following day. Cultivate Kitchen is featuring holiday meals this year. Think of it as ELEVATED dining for Thanksgiving, featuring dishes like butternut mac and cheese and whiskey apple-cranberry sauce. They also offer vegetarian and vegan options. Ordering is still open now!
Order your Thanksgiving Box by Nov 23rd to pick up on Nov 26th!
This kit serves 5-6 and features Turkey, Gravy, Salad, Green Bean Casserole, Buttermilk Mashers, Dinner Rolls, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce, the whole 9 yards. Reheat and serve! There is also the option to add on a pie for $20. Check and check!
Order before Nov 21st this year to get the BBQ Holiday dinner of your dreams! This menu is amazing…Whole Smoked Turkey or Burbon Glazed Spiral Cut Bone-in Ham with some of the sides being….Chicken & Cornbread dressing, Garlic Buttered Broccoli, Mashed Potatoes with Biscuit Gravy, BBQ Beans etc! The desserts sound fab as well, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake, Banana Pudding, Chocolate Brownies and more! Dining in a small group, pair or single, they have individual heat-and-serve plates as well!
With a partnership with HomeChef, this holiday meal can be provided at a minimum cost of $75, which is a total steal in this economic environment. Order through your local King Soopers or online, and take the guesswork out of it.
Similar setup to King Soopers above, select your store and meal, pick up and be ready to go! Heat and serve.
This smaller natural foods grocery also provides some pre-cooked meals. Find your closest location, select your meals, order and make life easy!
A staple of the South, Cracker Barrel is a very popular option. With only 24 hour notice, this could save your bacon if you can’t find a turkey! Or if you are celebrating on a FAUX-GIVING day, you can certainly still enjoy this meal with family and friends.
SHIPPED TO ME
While you do have to order this year by 9pm on 11/20, Williams Sonoma offers a full build-your-own Thanksgiving meal shipped to your door! Exciting. The turkey is pre-brined, meaning you still need to cook it yourself, but the sides are put together and ready to bake…so it’s a half-baked Thanksgiving, ha! Mostly done and delicious.
Featured as a Gift a Thanksgiving Meal, you can send this package to a loved one or a family experiencing hard times. Or gift it to yourself! Entire meals come with Turkey, sides, dessert etc.
If you cook your meal from scratch (which is truly a medal-worthy achievement) or bring in reinforcements, we hope you have a beautiful holiday filled with good weather, good competitive football and gratitude!
SNARFS….is coming to Erie
Exciting news….Snarf’s is coming to Erie
One of my all-time favorite sandwich spots, Snarf’s, is finally coming to town—and I couldn’t be more excited! Their signature soft, toasty bread and bold flavors make every sandwich unforgettable. With a menu full of creative options, there’s something for everyone, but my personal favorite has to be the Rotisserie Chicken loaded with all the fixings. It’s the kind of place that wins over both kids and adults alike. And let’s not forget their stash of Zapp’s Chips—especially the iconic Voodoo flavor—which makes the perfect pairing. Snarf’s is an absolute win for our city!
Location in the Village Vista Shopping Center with opening day yet to be announced.
Let’s hope this is just the beginning of attracting more unique food options. Erie is the place to be with thousands of homes, many yet to be built. The demand is here!
Real Estate Activity this weekend….
Looking for an open house this weekend?
Things are heating up. It’s true mortgage rates were not good this past week, but that hasn’t sl owed buyers. Properties that have previously just been hanging out are going under contract left and right. Lots of new ‘under contract’ statuses appearing.
Please enjoy this featured open house in Berthoud, Colorado. 12-3pm. Hardwood floors, six bedrooms, and an enormous kitchen make this a wonderful family home at a great price, $620,000. 2413 Tabor Street, Berthoud, CO 80513
In Erie and the surrounding areas, there are many open houses this weekend. An open house is a great way to take a quick peek, at your leisure. If you don’t have representation, it can be a wonderful way to meet a new real estate agent or several. If you are represented…it’s still a nice way to tour a few homes on your “off” day.
Summer Camp and Child Care
Are you looking for summer care for your children? Look no further than this list to start your search.
When you choose summer care for you children, there are a few different ways to address it. You can alternate care days with other parents in a trade arrangement. You can hire a summer nanny for your family or share a nanny with one or two other families. Or we can choose summer camp.
The summer care search starts early and camps fill up fast.
I know it feels like you have to be at the ready when camp signup opens. It's a very stressful time for working parents and even stay-at-home parents. We all want our kids to be active, happy, and well cared for over the summer.
NANNIES
This can be an ultra-convenient way to go. They generally come to you and often are willing to work with flexible schedules. Nanny candidates coming back from college can work full-time during the summer and if you're lucky to find someone you love, a family can have 4-5 summers covered by the same person. This is great for the sitter/nanny as well as the family. It’s also a nice perk to have a built-in babysitter if they are able to come back for holidays and spring break.
I created the Erie Sitters and Nannies group at 11:59 pm on a Saturday, after unsuccessfully finding a local sitter. This group gained hundreds of members in the first week, and we're approaching 3K in membership currently. Options : Share a summer nanny with a neighbor if you can only commit to part-time, or get a small group of littles together in a home for daily care. Lots of options when you go the nanny route.
Link to our Facebook group below.
Because the group was growing at such a quick rate, and friends from further north were trying to join, we also created a group in Fort Collins/Greeley. Please share with your friends in that area too.

SUMMER CAMP
Summer camps fill up fast. Below is a link to most of the camps in the nearby area as a resource. Things like fees/open registration dates may be a moving target, but the websites and contact info generally remain the same.
Some of our traditional camps fill up quickly.
Camp Erie always fills up in a blink. You must be on the computer and ready. The fastest I’ve seen it fill up is in 7 minutes.
SVVSD Summer Camp also fills up pretty fast.
There is a camp coming back to Erie this year, and that is Rocky Mountain Day Camp. This location of RMDC will be at Meadowlark May 28th - July 26th, offering robust programming, with over 30 activities available in every session.
Please see the link below for the constantly updated spreadsheet of camps.
